VENICE:
1) Last Supper, mosaic, Basilica di San Marco, 13th century.
2) Last Supper, 1573, (renamed Supper in the House of Levi by the Inquisition) - by Veronese, for the Church of San Giovanni e Paolo originally, now in the Accademia.
3- Last Supper by Tintoretto - many churches in Venice have Last Suppers by Tintoretto.
Most famous by Tintoretto - in the choir space of the church of San Giorgio Maggiore, Isola di
San Giorgio Maggiore, 1594, to the right of the altar.
I am grateful to a former student, Professor Lorenzo Buonanno, who wrote his Senior Thesis on Tintoretto's Last Suppers in Venice, for alerting me to all the Last Suppers Tintoretto had painted.
